Roy Ang is the Regional Business Development at GrabPay. In his role, he assists in setting up payment operations in the South East Asia countries that Grab is in, with the aim of making GrabPay the default mobile payment wallet in the region. His responsibilities include strategizing payment experiences for Grab users, drivers & merchant partners and building up team & product for each local market. Through the Grab platform, he seeks to help unbanked mobile-first users and merchants to build opportunities for themselves while delivering trusted & safe payment systems to Southeast Asia. Prior to joining Grab, Roy spent close to 3 years as the GM of e27, overseeing sales and events operations in APAC, delivering startups and investor events for tech & IT industry. Roy holds a Bachelor of Banking & Finance from the University of London, and currently lives in Singapore.
